My second colored pencils portrait.. i think.
***
I generally really dont like drawing with colored pencils. On one hand i dont seem to have the patience and on the other hand i have digitalizing it! I really do. I dont seem to be able to take a photo or to scan the drawing so it would look at least a little alike.
But I guess everyone has the same problem. If there's anyone out there who solved it, please tell me!!
***
Nevertheless, this was quite fun to draw. Even tough colored pencils is not my favouride medium, I found the ref pic so amazing and perfect for a colorful drawing that i had to draw it.
And im actually really satisfied with the result. at least with the original drawing :D
I truly hope you guys like it too!
***
Tools:
Faber Castell colored pencils
kneadable eraser
bristol smooth
my fingers for blending
oh, almost forgot, i used a mechanical pencil as well. (for shading mostly)
i have no idea how many hours.. 10?
***
My next work could probably be a painting or another pencil drawing, ill see what i feel like doing.

Love, Anna :blowkiss:

Amazing drawing!
I particularly like the background! It's sooo realistic - slightly blurred!I have this problem...I can't seem to draw decent backgrounds with coloured pencils:shrug:But you did a fantastic job here!

Oh and I so know what you mean...my scanner changes the colours of almost all of my coloured works. It's a little frustrating indeed but it's not that bad so I usually don't have o fix the contrast and so on in PS.But if the orignal drawing looks too different...I don't see anything wrong in trying to make the scanned version look as close to it as possible :shrug:Smetimes you need to use PS...

If you find another solution though....I'd appreciate it if you could...let me know, maybe?:giggle:

Thank you so much, means a lot! the background actually didnt take too much time. i found out that if you sharpen the colored pencil, there are small particles falling off. I put a finger in that ';powder' and draw the blurry parsts. I hope you understood, i dont really have the vocab to explain this :D.
I changed the settings of my scanner, added a little more contrast and darkness.. basicly like photoshop except that i didnt use it :)
What i found out as well is that taking a photo only works in bright daylight. otherwise the drawing looks kinda blueish.

Thank you again for the comment
Oh, and thanks for the fav as well!

I can't even fathom using colored pencils to achieve such results- you are very skilled and/or patient!
When blending with your fingers do you find it harder to pull off the color from the surface when you need to?

Looks really cool, good job!
